It is true that there are many definitions about service-learning floating around, some since the 1970s. In fact, everyone reading this probably has one. But this definition is a solid working one, succinctly covering the distinctives:
Survey courses are among the most difficult college courses to teach effectively. This seminar will explore what gets in the way of student success in survey courses, and will show you how to help students understand three important things about your course: 1.
