Faculty Development for your Online Instructors
Online Instructor Success: What’s It Take?
It’s rare that an instructor can make the leap to the online classroom without a few missteps. Some are minor, and easily correctable while others are more serious and can slowly erode the online experience for instructors and the students they teach. Make sure you are familiar with the best practices of online teaching.
The continuing increase in online course offerings, the number of students enrolled in online courses, and the variety of e-learning technologies being implemented on campuses today all underscore the need for standards and guidelines to ensure online teaching success.
You probably already knew that, but did you know there are currently more than 100 specific competencies that have been determined to be instrumental for success in online teaching?
If online education is critical to your institution’s future, you will want to order this seminar. Led by Dr. Larry Ragan, Online Instructor Success: What’s It Take? discusses key competencies for online teaching success based on literature reviews, experience and expert interviews.
