These data are very interesting. I enrolled in a MOOC out of curiosity, and I have 40,000 classmates. There is a variety of learning strategies used from videos, readings, video discussions, chats, and online discussions. It is a non-linear approach without much formal structure, and the variety of activities gives me the opportunity to select the material I choose to view or read. There are about eight faculty members who interact with us in the prestigious University of Edinburgh in the UK. I am impressed so far.
